The United States is home to 124 Job Corps academies that serve our youth, ages 16-24, through education and certification programs in several different career fields. On August 30, 2011, job corps graduation ceremonies were held across the country in honor of National Job Corps Commencement Day. Brian Higgins, United States Congressman, served as the commencement speaker for the ceremony at the Cassadaga Job Corps Center where Zehnder Rittling was the proud recipient of the “Employer of the Year” award for an outstanding commitment to youth and for hiring Job Corps graduates. Chris Barto, Director of Human Resources, represented Zehnder Rittling and was presented with a plaque on behalf of the Center. Franklin Cooke, Joe Merritt and Nick Rothert were the first three Cassadaga Job Corps Center graduates to join the Zehnder Rittling team. All three graduated from the Center with electrical certification and are valued contributors to our Buffalo, NY manufacturing facility.
